Los Portales has the best Mexican food in all of Fairfield County. The waitstaff is pretty friendly too. The only bad thing about Los Portales is that I can't find a legible menu online anywhere, so I uploaded one here. As for the food, not only is there a wide variety of dishes but the dishes are delicious and authentic. The last time I ate in their restaurant was pre-COVID, but I still get takeout. Every dish that I had of theirs was worth trying, but their gorditas are especially worth trying. This is a steak gordita which they load with toppings. The gorditas only come with pork, chicharron, or cheese. If you want chicken, steak, etc. it costs extra.

They offer tasty pastry right inside their entry, offering it all from breakfast to dinner and more. We stopped for a snack and got a great treat! If you're staying at the hotel and missed breakfast this is a great backup and right across the street!
